Title: Keystone 1204 tool

Has anyone used Keystone Electronics 1204 terminals/lugs for building tube amp terminal strips?

They have a square tubular mounting section rather than the usual round turret barrel.

Keystone told me they don’t have a dedicated staking tool for the 1204 and recommended simply punching/swaging the tubular section myself.

I’m looking for advice on the proper staking method/tool geometry. I want the front side of the terminal to remain unchanged and only deform the square tube on the back side to mechanically lock it to a G10/fiberglass board.

Has anyone here actually installed these terminals? If so, what punch/anvil geometry did you use?

You could modify a standard punch into a pyramid shaped tip. Drill a hole for the lug (#35 sized drill bit) then line up the flat edges on the punch to the lug.
