Title: Amp Noise Library ???
Post by: Rich on July 04, 2008, 04:33:06 pm
My most common complaint, and in many of the posts I read, is that an amp is making noise.

When someone responds the reply is something along the line that noise could mean just about anything and in cases (such as mine) even the 'music' inputted into the amp.

We see descriptions such as 60 cycle, 120 cycle, motor boating, farting, but what does it really mean? Hell I knew I guy who could play tunes with his farts.  Some people felt he could play better than me on guitar and vocals.

Is there, or would it be possible, to accumulate a library of common amp noises which are generated by a malfunction?

Rich I think it is a great idea.  I suppose no one does it cause they don't have the time or inclination to setup the recording gear.  I know with me, once I get a problem solved, forget it and move onto the next.
