you can upload attachments to your post and you can download other peoples attachments.
You can also download the pictures you see attached to post.
To upload an attachment click on the +Additional Options link. See the screen shot below
Browse your computer to find the file.
Hit the more attachments link uf you have more than one to upload
The file types allowed are listed
The maximum file size is listed
The number of attachments per post you can upload are listed.
To download an attachment or image, just right click your mouse on the attachment or image and then choose Save Target As...
save the attachment to a place on your copmputer where you can find it, like your desktop.

You can attach a file to your post and the file will be saved on my server for a certain amount of time. Files get purged after they are a certain age.
The types of files are limited to
.gif, .jpg, .png which are all graphics files
.sch which is a PC express schematic file.
.doc, .txt and .zip
.pdf which is a adobe file
I have a file size limit so you will have to keep the file size small.
