Do you all think it would be useful to compile a table of drill sizes for various tasks?
For example:
Turret (standard) 3/32"
Eyelet 1/8"
Input jack - 3/8"
Isolated input jack - 1/2"
Test point jack 1/4"
Toggle switch (large) - 15/32"
#8 bolt
#6 bolt
etcetera
Or is this something everyone should figure out on their own if they don't know it instinctively?
My question has nothing to do with having to re-drill several holes and use one size smaller bolt than planned in a chassis last weekend... at least I didn't remove too much metal on the first pass ;)

I don't know about garolite boards; but Goug's el34 world has info on drill bit sizes for that. For everything else I use z 1/8" bit for a pilot hole; then a unibit.

I believe this may be every drill bit chart ever published.
Google "drill bit chart" (http://images.google.com/images?q=drill+bit+chart)
