Title: bogen chb100 conversion
Post by: clayman on December 08, 2008, 06:05:52 pm
here is my final to date.It took some tweaking to get rid of some brittleness.I am using the 8 ohm ot tap for 8 ohm load, even though I am not using all four output tubes. It sounds best.
The 470k grid stopper into v2 helped w/brittleness.I toned down the preamp bias for a warmer less plastic distortion.

Hi Clayman GREAT POST and SCHEMATIC!!!!!!
I'm a nube so bear with me. There are a few places I didn't understand on your schematic:
Where the feedback connection goes.
The SPDT switch does it need the center off.
Does the resistor on the right leg go to ground
The plates from the second 12AX7 have two capacitors in line
Should the .022 caps be from the plates to ground to filter the crap
Added a middle pot at the end of the bass pot
I PM'd the modded schematic for you to check over
Thank You
