Want your speakers broken in? Plug them into an amp and play!

THat'll go great with my $250 power cable...
-
:'(
that's exactly what we need to make our amps sound quoting the seller:
Your high notes will be round and rich. Lows will be more powerful and smooth. Midrange will have a more "vocal" quality with singing lead tones and harmonics.
:D
-
Maybe it's for "creamy overdrive"
-
I heard KY does the same thing ;D
-
You gotta wonder if that dude is truly evil and his speaker cream actually rots cones.

I wonder what Ted Weber thinks about that stuff!

I just throw my new speakes in the dryer with a sneaker and a pad of fabric softener.
-
I just wanna see Vince Offer hawking it at 3 in the morning... "You hearin' this, microphone guy?"
-
I just put a brand new pair of old stock "made in England" vintage 30's in the dryer with a sneaker and a pad of fabric softener.
Ruined my freaking speaker. Thanks a lot. Next time you are joking, how about letting someone know.......

Sorry, I forgot to mention that you should use the delicate setting for speakers rated under 75 watts each; and never put anything "made in England" in the dryer.

Unless the dryer is Made in England by Lucas Electrics, in which case it probably doesn't work.
-
"in which case it probably doesn't work" ;D ;D ;D
So true!! Been there!
-
I have a Maytag dryer from the late 70's. Do you think I should rewire it point to point? It has 240 volt AC filaments. Do you think I should convert them to DC? It kinda noisy when I put speakers in it.
-
All joking aside, why would it not work?
Why do Englishmen drink warm beer?
Because Lucas makes refridgerators too!
Lucas..prince of darkness.
Wonder if it would loosen up the ex........ ;D

I guess you've been around Brit cars or motorcycles.

Would that be for Over-drive in the Underalls? ;D

I'm sure it will do something, but whether it delivers a "vintage" speaker from a spanking new one is another matter. Chemically treating paper speaker cones and other destructive edits to achieve a different sound has been around a long time, so this isn't anything new. You could probably do just as well with a watered down mixture of common unscented lotion or some other magic formula you invent yourself in about 5 minutes in the kitchen.
It struck me as funny, especially since "too good to be true" always is. Except for what you find on the Internet, of course, which is always what it seems to be. The Internet = where all the men are men... and so are the women.

WE ARE ON THE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But..... I just did a junk check and I'm ok.

Maybe in England you need to put it in the refridgerator?
-
probably easier to just apply KY to your ears...
