Title: Betcha never heard of this old tube amp brand..

Cause I havent. For the life of me I'll never knwo why I bought it. Im going to try and recap it. Its a" Stage King". Thats the only thing it says.
Japanese probably, cause there are old puffed up Japanese Capacitiors in it. Stage King Super Bassman. A Fender Bassman knock off I guess. Anyone ever heard of it?
Theres nothing opn Google about it.

Can't tell about Japanese, I have an old cheap Japan Amp, a TAKT, and it says Tremoro on it, but without trem, I can't be sure.  ;D

 I gotta give them styling sense though, they (60's, 70's Japanese companies) sure had a way with using big gaudy graphics and really camp looking panels. They look like something out of a Tarantino film. :D

Gotta love Japanese styling! Case in point: Dat-Sun B210 "Hunny-bee"  OTOH, that same company brought us the 240z, and another one (that I fergit the name) which was about as brit sports car (without the maintenance issues) as one can get from around the same time (early-mid '70's).


Some things they got right, some things went horribly wrong :o

 Datsun roadsters.. 1500,1600 and 2000 I'm thinking something like 66-70 maybe a tad later. Here's what they looked like and yeah they were cool  8) :

I bet that's a fine sounding amp.

Just got back from a car show.....this car is done right AFAIC.(it's a "lefty" driver to boot)

BTW my son's name happens to be Leonard.

Hey that car's got an Osaka license plate on it....one of my old neighbors I suppose! Where was that show?

In Japan I fell in love with the Toyota Crown.  It's a Stately automobile. I think it would find a market in N. America...I wonder why they don't export it.

I love those old Datsuns. My dad's friend has a perfect 1965 Datsun roadster...it steals the show every time he brings it out....and this guy also owns/shows a 1959 Chevy Impala Convertible and a 1968 Chevelle SS next to them.....

Someone probably paid some bucks for that plate considering the number.
They were touring out near my house (couple hours outside of Osaka)
I really like the Bond version of that car.

Oh, the consumer models. I like those too.Reliable.
Nissan President......an older one.Very cool for that type car.

  I bought a new Datsun pickup in 1971.  It was a tough little truck, and I drove the hell out of it. A little 1600 OHC engine if I remember correctly.  Problem was, it rode quite hard and beat hell out of my bad back at the time.
   I had a 1600 Roadster for a while, which needed restoration, but gave it away......too many projects ya know......
