Title: Effects Loop Kit
Post by: tubesornothing on May 15, 2009, 12:52:39 pm
Can anyone suggest an effects loop kit that "preserves" tone?  I have a customer who wants to mod his amps with a couple of effects loops, but I want it easy for me to do and does not muck (much) with the tone.

Also, if I put in an unbuffered effects loop what should I be concerned about?  Is it as simple as checking the specs on the devices to make sure they have a high input impedance?

thanks

I have installed Iron Sounds FX loop kits in a couple of Dumble'esque type bulds with excellent results.  Extremely transparent and clean.  In my experiences, off board Send and Return controls are a must to be able to balance signal levels.  I suspect that this is the case for any system of this type though.

Really hard to beat the price of ~$50 unassembled.

Good luck,
