Title: Fender Eminence speakers from a DR Twin?
Post by: sawdust on June 17, 2009, 05:38:48 am
I picked up a couple of 12" Fender speakers. They are marked Eminence on the magnet. I can't find too much info on this speaker. Here is the info off the sticker; 037617; 121042  8 ohm; 67-96141271 G1. I know the date code is 1996 14th week, serial #1271 and the metal group is G1. Is there a specific Eminence model number or name for these speakers. My intention is to build a 2x12 standalone cabinet.

Edit: I found the answer to my own question here. It appers to be an Eminence Legend 125. These came from a 65 twin reissue. I guess they are good speakers.

Eminence is a decent manufacturer, They have a niche market making 'tone' speakers for guitar amps, and they also are a large OEM. Long and storied history- they have their origin in what was once Utah (another el-cheapo speaker maker).
