Title: Goodbye to a real talent

Well, we'll never know if MJ was guilty of impropriety or if he could have come back and been a megastar again.  But two things are for sure, his contribution was huge and his burden was massive.  R.I.P. tormented son of Joe.  I am saddened for the loss of a great talent.  To he who much is given, much is expected.  Fairly or not.

 I agree, no denying his talent and it is a sad loss regardless of whatever his personal life was. Having such a screwed up childhood and being isolated pretty much because of fame had to have a major impact on his head. He was a talented writer, dancer, singer and producer and at only 50 its way to soon to lose him. RIP Michael.

The Jackson 5 was one of the most kick-ass R&B vocal acts EVER.

He certainly was talented, although I really got sick of hearing about him. I always felt sorry for him in a way. I don't think he ever got to experience any normallacy in his life.

He really might have been the greatest individual showman the world has seen. The full package, Soulful, powerful and versatile Voice, Songwriting ability, a taste for mixing musical styles, fluid dancing and unmistakable stage presence!
To add to that, An Icon, consummate artist and an incredible human tragedy all rolled into one.
And at one time he was a handsome kid and young man.....
I'll remember him like these images, when I first got to hear him.

Now IF he had went to the hospital instead of going to bed... after his accident... Mr. Mays probably still would be hawking stuff on TV for us to buy (and in printed ads too.)

Mikey's Death is still up in the air as far as exact cause... we may never know the truth either.

I loved that Pitchmen TV show.
Billy Mays was a hoot.

I was always wondering if they would ever invite Vince (sham wow) onto the show and have a pitchman pitchoff.
Or maybe see who could mop up or get rid of a stain faster

MJ's death really didn't sink in until today . I saw him interviewed once by Ed Bradly and he did a one man band performance and it was quite impressive .

 I got a bit burned out by thriller but he had quite  a few songs that were fitting for the times and filled a void . Yes he certainly had talent no doubt.

 Through my life there was Hendrix and Joplin and Morrison and Lennon , SRV , Harrison just to name a few .

 I sit here at 60 and looking back seems like a thousand years to me.

I'm just glad I wasn't brought up in his situation.  A drunken father was bad enough, but Joe Jackson is the devil incarnate.  If ever I bemoan my life in future days, I will think of him and thank my lucky stars for what I've had and haven't had.

I am not a fan however of MJ or his music, but with the events in the world today, it is obvious to me
that, the masses have once again chosen the Colosseum over freedom..... :angel

My best memories of MJ is way back in the late 60's when I heard "It's easy as ABC, 123" coming through an AM radio of my 67 Impala. Plate

 I know very little about MJ, since it's not my kind of music, but he had a huge impact on pop music.  His old man was  on TV when the son was first found dead, hawking his record company. What a POS he turned out to be.

Heard on the news last night about the Autopsy on Billy Mays.

Apparently he died of a heart attack in which cocain was a contributing factor. I guess the bump to the head had nothing to do with it.

Sad, very sad, when great talent gets screwed up on drugs and meet an early demise.

 Joe his dad was always a POS. What parent beats kids for missing a dance step at rehearsal. The kids were terrified of they're dad, MJ especially, its no wonder the man grew up so strangely.
