The more I dig around for him, the more I realize he's been around for quite a while.  I guess I've been living under a rock because I've never heard of him before now.  He does talk about Johnny's influence on him.

I saw that one, too, which is when I realized he's been around a while and he's accomplished.  I don't know how I've missed him.  His slide work, though, is what's really peaked my interest.  I'm concentrating a lot on my slide and happened to be looking for some good youtube examples when I landed on the second half of his speed slide video.  I threw my slide away right then...

...but I dug it out of the trash later and I'm still working on it.

Isn't Bernard ........ Luther Allison's son? Luther Allison was a great Chicago player, but left the US for Europe many yrs ago.

Man, He's good!  I've dabbled in slide but just can't make it do what I want it to do. This guy's got it.
I first heard of Bernard on the "House of Blues Radio Hour" 10 years or so ago.  His old used to play around here a lot back in the day. Bernard does come around occasionally, but I haven't gotten the opportunity to go see him.
