I read over on the FDP that Ted Weber has died.
Anyone have any conformation on that?
-
I'm sorry to say that it is true. His site has an obituary.

This is sad news indeed. I talked with Ted several months ago about speaker and transformer choices for a build I was doing. A true gear lover and great man. He will be missed.

ooh at 58, he's far too young to pass....there will be a daunting task for someone to fill those shoes.

Such a nice guy. Years ago, we were both on the old AOL vintage amp board. We all thought he was a little crazy with his dream of making speakers. He sent me a prototype when he was first trying out ideas. I started to think he might be a little sane when I tried it. I long ago sold an amp with that speaker in it. I wish I'd kept it.

That is a REAL drag; especially at only 58. I say this respectfully- I'm going to go fire up my Tweed Princeton that his speaker and output transformer brought back to life. Rest in Peace
