Title: Great playing nice tone
Post by: tubenit on August 28, 2009, 10:11:18 am
I stumbled across this and was impressed at how tasty the guys playing and creativity is. I thought the amp and his playing really have a nice tone to it.

With respect, Tubenit

I like the original verson better

This is a crappy live shot.  I liked the studio version much better - actually my fav song from the band!

Man, I have not heard BTO do Blue collar in a long time.
Used to be one of my favorite BTO tunes.

Very cool and jazzy.

Thanks for the vid Ritchie

I thought the same thing.

Not sure those are the same song, but I liked the BTO tune also. Never heard it before. The video I posted has the kind of tone I really like listening to.

I love that BTO tune.
It needs more cowbell.

Almost forgot about BTO!

Tubenit,  I love those tones too. Sooo sweet , crisp, mellow, crunchy with bite at the same time. His playing style reminds me of a cross between Robben Ford and Larry Carlton.  Very tastefull stuff.  Thanks for sharing.
Punky

I agree, Tubenit. I've listened to alot of Greg's stuff. The amp and pedals seem to stay the same, but he's played many different guitars. Sometimes the room is lined with them. Wouldn't that be nice to come home to? If I remember correctly, he's done some recording with a band, but I just really like his solo playing.
