Title: Need good germanium transistors for a pedal project

Is there a good source for getting any good vintage sounding germanium transistors? I would be looking for probably a couple dozen.

Hay Mat

I've been looking at NOS transistors at a flea market. I've been wondering if they were germaniums or not and wondering if they have enough value for me to even fool with. I know nothing about transistors other than they took the place of tubes and know these paticular type transistors were famous for classic sounds in effects pedals and some amps. The ones at the flea market are several varities but most of them look like a three legged silver small R3D2, hat shaped. If you'll help me identify a good NOS transistors, I'll see some of the ones I've been looking at would be useful to you.  Plate

You might try Small Bear electronics.. I know when I started on Pedals that they had quite a few germanium transistors as I was looking at building a rangemaster clone. Just a name I remember, I've never dealt with them.
