does a kt66 wire up and work the same as a 6l6gc im waining to use 6l6 instead of kt66 in my jtm45 project can i wire up socket and circuit the same using 6l6 instead of kt66? mark

Its the same, the only different one is a el34 which I believe has to tie pin one and eight together. The kt66 and 6l6 are for all intents and purpose the same thing.

Ps: The jtm45 is really just a bassman, if you want to see if there are any changes, look for a tweed bassman schematic or layout as they used 6l6's.

Other than KT66 requiring more than 1.5 times the heater current of 6L6.

Well yeah, there is that... Not a problem if he planned for 6l6's though...
