Title: Not to impinge on EL34's business or anything...
Post by: G._Hoffman on October 28, 2009, 06:21:06 am
I don't think this one is so practical, and who the heck can read Finish?  Plus, I don't think he is selling anything.

But I have to say, their are times I would like this:

That light is way too huge for me
I have seen several designs like that on the web
Also with big rectangular housings and big fins
Looks like some screen porch extrusion.

I am running 2700 lumens total by using 3 very small lights.
And the lights can go on the helmet or bars.
I can't see that monster on my helmet.

I like the small round lights because you can take just one light, 2 or 3 on your ride.
Heck you could mount as many as will fit on a bar across the top of your handlebars and only turn on the ones you need.

LED lighting is taking all the fun out of nighttime mountain bike riding.  It used to be a 2W halogen was all, and man did that ever improve your reaction time!

Also hope to hell the battery did not die before you got outta of the woods.  I spent too many time pushing my bike around in the pitch black.
