Title: Old 3 knob memory man help/schematic
Post by: antieatingactivist on December 19, 2009, 04:03:23 pm
I just got a really neat memory man for cheap. The only problem is that the delay knob isn't working. The only schematic that I can find on the internet is for a later deluxe model. Nothing seems to compare to the schematic in the delay pot area.

I haven't even gotten a chance to test the pot yet, but being that the pedal works just fine except for the speed doesn't change, im thinking it is something else. Electrolytic cap maybe? Should I go ahead and replace them all while I'm at it? does anyone have the schematic for a EH1338A?

I've always wanted an analog delay, but not for 300 bucks, and my boss dd20 doesn't really do it for me. Any help will be appreaciated.

I changed the Vibrator chip and the op-amp that is situated underneath the delay pot. No change. Could somebody give me some insight what might make 4047 chip not change speed?

You might check with Ron Neely. He's fixed a couple of things for me, although he's concentrating on his own line of effects. Nice guy!

I played through one of those one time and thought it sucked a lot of tone and was noisy. I bought a Carl Martin DeLayla that blows it out of the water.

Well to each his own.  Anyways, back to the problem at hand.

If not Ron Neely, post it on http://www.diystompboxes.com or http://board.buildyourownclone.com  those guys should be able to help out.
