Title: G-K 250RL Schem wanted
Post by: Shrapnel on December 21, 2009, 11:30:27 pm
I've got a Gallien-Krueger Model 250RL Stereo Guitar Amp here that I need a schem for, anyone got one?  It isn't blowing fuses, but it has no signal out, not even at the phones jack. I think a schem would go a long way in helping me with this thing. (It's been sitting in my closet a couple of years now.)

Have you tried to contact G-K?
They sent me a schem for my 400RB, when I asked.
They also gave me some of the grey knob inserts that keep falling out,
no charge!

I have not yet, but I think that may be in order now that you mention it.

Thanks for the heads up.

[edit] e-mail sent. to parts.

[edit - 02 Jan 2010] Just a wait and see now, as I guess the holidays has slowed things down a bit. LOL.

[edit - 07 July 2010] Either my email never made it, or they blew it off. I have YET to receive a response, positive or negative, from them.

I have a MB150E on the bench.  My eMail was ignored.  I picked up the phone and called them.  I had the schematic eMailed before I hung up the phone.  Very very nice and professional to deal with.  Asked for the preamp board number to make sure I got the right schematic.  Simple trace from there.  Appears to have been a bad JFET.  It's been running for 45 minutes w/o issue.
