Title: Anyone else a Make Magazine fan?
Post by: Ritchie200 on February 08, 2010, 11:36:09 am
In regards to ISOTone's Betty Crocker tube amp link - I have been a long time subscriber to Make Magazine.  It has a lot of old electronic "stuff" projects that I remember as a kid as well as cutting edge projects, kids stuff (such as soda bottle rockets, etc.), and even woodworking - I consider it the project book for when I retire!  This month they have a small envelope 3-axis CNC machine project (AFFORDABLE!) that you can carry around!  Also in this month is a project to build a 3d scanner for your CNC replicating projects.  There are just too many things to list in every issue!  Way cool stuff for any DIY.  It kind-of spans all the cool projects from Pop Sci, Pop Mech, ARRL, and Pop Electronics (remember them?!?!).  Anyway, you can usually find the mag at Barnes and Noble and Borders.  They are pretty proud of their content ($$$$$) so a subscription is the way to go if interested.

That looks like a pretty fun magazine.   I sent the link to my nephew - a few of those projects he should be able to tear into.

Buy the kid a subscription. Corrupt 'em early and often.

Not just for kids!  I'd bet anyone that comes to this site would like it!
