Here is a link to the band website of the 1984 explorer I received in basket case condition. Refinishing was done by someone else but I had to pretty much replace every part including a custom laser cut pickguard from a tracing I did since the 84 is not readily available. This was a lot of work for sure but it came out nice and the player loves it:

The parts list was long. New 57 classic and classic plus pickups and rings, all new controls, switch, jack plate and wiring, new pickguard, new Schaller locking tuners, new schaller roller bridge to replace the tilt version on the old vibrato setup the owner didn't want, new strap buttons and all new screws on everything.
This is the same musician for whom I convertered the 135 watt Fender Twin to blackface specs which you also see below the guitar. A little farther down the page is me, my big gut and the SRV Vibroverb I built for the bands other guitarist. By the way, my gut should be mia in the next photo thanks to a diet that comes from my last medical scare.
