I tried to record the T-Lite 5879 OD amp. Between my poor recording setup and having to dial the VVR down to get to nice recordable levels, ........... I lost a signficant amount of the blooming feature on notes that the amp has. I honestly think it sounds much better in person.
Probably not the best song to have picked for the demo due to the monotany of it without vocals & my limits to talent.

NOTE: you may get a popup asking if you want the window to close ....... just click "NO".
Anyhow, hopefully the demo shows some aspects of the clarity of the overdrive. I can dial the amp til the notes hold into feedback but recorded it somewhat clean on this take. And also you may be able to tell some of the touch sensitivity of the amp? No pedals were used, just delay and EQ on the recording.

I'll have a listen when I get home and can play on a better system.
I'm on my notebook now, the speakers are 1" in diameter.

Sounds cool Jeff,
Do I hear you using a delay?
You have got the recording thing dialed in now!!!
-
Thanks Doug! Very mediocre playing for sure but I had fun with it.
Regarding the delay ............ there is this genius guy over sort of by Asheville that has a remarkable recording system and an organic garden with the best tasting tiny tomatoes I've ever eaten.
Anyhow, this same creative guy showed me how to stagger two versions of the same track on Mixcraft to create a delay effect. That accounts for most of the delay on this tune.
Hopefully someday, I'll be able to duplicate his recording systema and enter a whole new realm.
Thanks, Jeff

I like the tones! I can hear a little of the D*mble influence from the preamp design, but it is a bit smoother....I'll definately build this after I'm done with my HoSo-type amp!

Now I'm the one with soundclick issues. I can't get it to play whether I'm logged in or not, but apparently Doug can.
I'll try on another PC later.

Jeff, nice tone indeed. I've noticed that every recording I make, it never sounds lke it does "in person". It's just really hard to capture! But you've done a VERY nice job of it! It seems you were holding back a bit at the fore - I can definitely hear the dynamics of the amp come alive when you hit about 2:20 thru to the end of the song.
More, please! I like this tone!
Best regards,
Craig

Woo hoo, I was finally able to find this on Soundclick and listen. That is a really good quality tone. Has some overdriven sustain without loosing much of the chimeyness.

Guys, thanks for the nice comments! They're appreciated. I did a tweak today on the amp that made it sound even better. It's more touch sensitive now and has sort of a vowel tone on the overdrive when you dig in.
