Title: 9 pin bias probe for EL 84`s
Post by: punkykatt on April 07, 2010, 08:42:41 pm

I made up a couple of 9 pin bias probes just to see if could be done. I used the 9 pin socket savers from AES. You can take them apart( bolt and nut holds them together) and remove the pins.  I had to double stack them, they are a bit tall. Work great for EL84 combo amps. For heads there might not be enough clearance.  Punky

Nice! What was your total investment?

Probably $20 for the both. For wire I used some small speaker wire I had sitting around, the banana plugs I got at RS years ago.  Fun little project for a rainy afternoon.
