Title: Arlo West
Post by: tubenit on April 16, 2010, 05:26:37 am
Never heard of this guy until I stumbled on to this U-toob.

I really like his playing ......... sort of a cross between Dave Gilmour and Hendrix, IMO.

Wow, great dynamics, and the guy obviously knows the neck - which is why it seems he never plays the same run.  Nice touch, very tasty.

But come on, he also plays a Tele - how can you take him seriously!  And I didn't hear one Manilow lick.  I guess that is why he never reached superstar status....

With a lack of respect,
Jim

Hey, I saw him playing a strat & I bet it was thru a Marshall amp.

And those jeans were actually computer generated over the 80's stretch spandex he was really wearing. Informed sources told me they cut the scene where he totally thrashed everything in the recording studio with that worthless Tele.

With a quasi measure of respect, Tubenit

If you're going to talk Arlo, you gotta play the Cowboy Song.
