I have a Fender Deluxe here that has no place on the chassis where a OT has ever been mounted , any one have any idea which deluxe this is?

Early models were fitted with a speaker/output transformer combo.

Cf. this "Woodie" Deluxe model 26, ca. 1947, the OT is basket-mounted on the left of the magnet.

All the models in my docs have a chassis-mounted OT. But Fender could also have used basket-mounted OT's in some batches and for one-offs...

Have you got some pictures of this Deluxe?
