Title: Where to get a roach?
Post by: tubesornothing on May 07, 2010, 07:10:38 pm
Where can I get a roach for 68 Super?  Cant find em on Hoffman, Mojo or AES.  Or do you guys do it by hand?  If so, can you recommend an appropriate photoresistor?

thanks

Search for part no.  R-VOP1020  at AES. I'm looking right at it.

Small bear has the VTL5C3.

I got a draw full of them from Small Bear I think. I never tested them yet. I thought I was going to use them for channel switching but their to slow for that. Then I realized their for vibrato or trems. I may make a nice vibro pedal one day.

Gotcha - looks like the one from AES is it.  Thanks.

The vactrol is not a neon/LDR, it is an LED/LDR so would cause a little smoke if used in a fender as a roach.
