Which do you prefer, the 6V or the 120V lamp? I am guessing the 120V is neon and lasts longer?
-
I use 6v
-
I like the 120v. The pilot is usually sitting very near the power switch so wiring is minimal, neat, and easy.
-
Are they interchangeable: do they both fit in the same hole?
-
I've never actually seen a Marshall amp, so I don't know if their 6v and 120v pilots are the same size. AES sells the square ones that look like they may fit the same size round hole.

Yes. Same diameter.
-
Thanks, I will order the 120V. It's gotta be neon.
-
Believe it or not, Radio Shack has them.
