Title: Just Dropped in to see what condition my condition was in
Post by: Platefire on May 15, 2010, 08:07:42 am
For those old heads like me, they will quickly recognize the old song title in the subject!!!
But Yeah, just dropped in to say hello. They got the Hoffman site blocked on my work computer and I use to visit the site on break. Haven't had much time at home to visit from my home computer----so I've been missing being here!!!!    It's like an oasis away from my very stressful government office job but my oasis dried up! I am processing retirement paperwork--so when that happens I might become a nusance around here again

I'm enjoying all the tube amps I've built with your help and all of them are so cool that it makes it hard to decide which one to use when I play---so I just use all of them a little. I am still building on a AB763 6L6 Champ type amp for a guy around the Chicago area and hope to be completing soon and I will post on that shortly. Glad to see everything is still trucking along here--lot of new members I see now posting a lot. See Ya, Platefire

Kenny Rogers and the First Edition.

I bet that not many "Lady", "Gambler" and "Islands in the Stream" people remember that KR and the 1st Edition had a TV show.

Too bad the Hoffman site is blocked at your office.  I think it would be good for many government employees to see that some people in the world actually build stuff.

Good to hear from you, Plate.

Yeah, I used to watch it because I thought Kenny and the 1st edition looked cool in their matching black Les Pauls!

Good to hear from "the resident comedian" Plate!  Looking forward to your full time participation.  Although....all this retirement talk....your just braggin', so I don't want to talk to you!

Hey Bob,

Great you're around and hope you enjoy retirement!

I'll probably be headed down for a quick turn around trip to DeRidder, La in the next yr and always enjoy the west La scenery.

Best regards, Jeff  aka Tubenit

So Geezer thought I'd dun kicked the bucket, har! Not yet

On retirement, I set a tentative date of 02 Sept 10. They want you to give them 90 days to process it. This ensures that you don't have a gap in your last paycheck and first retirement check. I think I can go for that!

I go to Diridder ever so often. They got a couple of flea markets there. Picked up a Elec Har Micro synth for $10.00 last year. Pretty amazing pedal!

Happy Amping, Platefire
