Title: Ampeg V4B values
Post by: birt on May 24, 2010, 02:22:00 pm
i've been looking around for schematics of the V4B amplifier. there are plenty but none of them have the values of the caps around the tone stack indicated. does anyone know why? and maybe some of you have a complete schematic?

Did you notice the dashed line enclosing those tone caps and resistors? That means all those individual components are encapsuled into a neat little  multi-legged 'flat-pack' component. The Ampeg part number is 6470000. I doubt you can find the actual component values. This was a common practice back then.

You may be able to look at some earlier models that use a similar tone stack with discrete components. Take a look at this one. I bet these are the same component values...

Edit... I just did a google search for "Ampeg 6470000". Look what was close to the top of the search results list...
