This 8 part interview is really interesting

Saw about 5 parts. He does make for an interesting interview. Had no idea that he was from Queens, NY? I thought he was a southern boy for some reason.
Seemed to be a pretty humble guy & I was intrigued about his comments playing thru a PA system.
Did you watch any of the jams between him and Satriani?
Jeff

Yes, I watched a few of the jams.
I love Joe, but no one has that nice melodic phrasing that Leslie has.
Mountain, Early Led Zeppelin and Cream were all my fav guitar tones way back when.

Doug, thanks for that. I'd never seen an interview with him, indeed he's a pretty humble guy. He's pretty cool, just one of the guys, not pretentious. A few pretty cool bits of info I didn't know. I knew he used a sun solid state for Mississippi Queen but didn't know it was a P.A. head (as I guess many also didn't apparently) and the TV yellow bit. I never knew why they called it TV yellow, makes sense after his explanation. Anyway thanks for posting that, very enjoyable, I'll have to check out more in that living legends series.
