Title: Chrome plating chassis, who does it? how much?
Post by: EW57 on June 14, 2010, 12:16:46 pm
Greetings, I was thinking about getting an amp chassis plated, does anyone know of any platers that'll do onesy-twosey jobs? About how much would this run? Thanks!

Hi EW57,
From my experience for small jobs you will probably have to find a chrome house that does motorcycle and car parts. Also look for any Automotive machinists that do crankshaft chroming, they are a great source for one offs. Cost all depends on surface area and what type of chroming you are looking for.

Hope this helps

Whatever shop you find, they will not be familiar with what you are plating. You will need to make it clear to them which surfaces need to look good.
