Title: AB763 component value confusion
Post by: nateflanigan on June 23, 2010, 07:25:18 pm
Hey friends,

Just started working on the AB763, and I'm a little confused about some of the "double component values".  Meaning, there are both 3 watt and 1/2 watt 470R resistors.  Also there is one .1uf 250v cap and many .1uf 650v caps.  Looking at the layout diagram from the library how can I tell what's what?

Thanks!

Look at the library page again, specifically this paragraph in the Hoffman Board information...

*  Common Hookup info for all Board layout diagrams (http://www.el34world.com/charts/CommonHookups.htm) *
Note: If there is an item on one of my layout diagrams this is confusing you,
it's probably because you did not look at the page above.

And then go one step further, visit the Fender Layout for the paticular AB763 you are intending to build, links are on Doug's Library page as well. Note the subtle differences there...............

It's funny, I was working off of a b&w print out of the layout diagram, duh.

After I got confused I did open up the actual fender diagram, upon noticing the differences I got more confused

Thanks for putting me back on track guys!
