Title: Added an all OD clip of the Maxim OD
Post by: Geezer on June 26, 2010, 08:13:10 pm
Did a few tweaks & here's another clip........not perfect, but captures the tone of the amp pretty well. Mostly clean channel, but I do throw the OD in there a few times.

Nice sounding stuff.

I hear shades of Dickie in there in places.

+1 on the Dickey tones, nice and smooth, nice overdrive can't ask for better than that. Nice job!

Title: An "all OverDrive" clip
Post by: Geezer on July 02, 2010, 01:35:47 pm
I think I've got the tone I want now. I removed the 470k/47p RC network entering into the OD section & it really opened the amp up.
(look @ Tubenit's new schemo to see what "RC network" I'm talking about) http://www.el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=9498.0#new

Here's one more clip>>>
Chitown Blue mp3 (http://www17.zippyshare.com/v/72169052/file.html)

All OD channel (no "clean" at all)....About 1/2 way thru I switch to the bridge pup & roll up the drive a bit to get some good "bloom" effect.
