Title: Mosfet and VVR - wich mosfet can be used ?
Post by: kagliostro on July 09, 2010, 05:52:18 am
Here in the forum as mosfet to be used in the VVR often the indication is for nte2973 or nte2377 (this last one with less performance)

this two mosfet here are expensive (near € 15,00 each = near $ 18,00 + the shipping € 6,00 till € 18,00)

so I'm looking for other mosfet cheaper than that

also I find in my stock a pair of NEC K1462

here the datasheet (from Sanyo, not able to find the NEC datasheet)

http://www.allcomponents.ru/pdf/sanyo/k1462.pdf

and here are the datasheet for the nte2973 and nte2377

http://www.nteinc.com/specs/2900to2999/pdf/nte2973.pdf

http://www.nteinc.com/specs/2300to2399/pdf/nte2377.pdf

please can you give any help

have you councils about other (cheaper) mosfet that can be used ?

can I use the NEC K1462 and if so can I do it without changes to the schematic that uses the nte2973/nte2377 ???

MANY THANKS

Kagliostro

p.s.: the unit is a 280v-0-280v PT Tube and SS rectifier, 30W output amp

You may either use an IRFP460 (500V) or IRFPE50 (800V), available worldwide at decent prices. As you're located in bella Italia, you may also consider local models from STMicroelectronics - the STW13NK50Z or any of their 500V / >7A standard N-channel power mosfets would fit the bill very nicely.
