Title: Lunchbox Chassis
Post by: spacelabstudio on July 09, 2010, 01:15:43 pm
I really like these small metal "lunchbox" style chassis, a la Orange Tiny Terror.  I haven't been able to find any place that sells a chassis like this, though.  Is there a source for these?

You may use a Hammond steel chassis + cover and add a handle.

Yeah, that seems like the next best thing.  That orange chassis is just so cute, though.

Yeah, like AES uses on they're Mod series amp... Paint the bottom orange the top white and well your sorta kinda there..  :undecided: I wasn't able to find a louvered top cage though, a metal shop that has a louver punch could sort it out, maybe two sides spotwelded on. Not sure what the cost would be though.

Bud has something like this, the orientation is wrong but you could put the knobs under the louvers depending on how it all is held together, but point to point it would work or a small board these run about 90.00 at Newark:
