I am not seriously into it but I used to love playing when I was a young and whenever I get a chance now days.
My old man used to take me down to the American Legion and teach me on their table when I was a kid.
When I was a teen, my pal had an older brother with a table.
We used hang out there, have marathons, and play pool all night.
I often thought about buying a table but never did.....yet.
Never got really good at it but always enjoy a good game.
I am off for an overnight vacation at a resort and I noticed they have a table on their site.
Started to get the itch to play.
Any other pool players out there?
Oh I happened to see this crazy video too

No, but I watch that really hot pro oriental girl play on EPSN sometimes.
Can't remember her name, she wears all black and is stunning to look at.
Besides being a pro player that is really good.

Yeah, Madison, I have about the same level of interest as you do. My older brother taught me to play. I prefer the full size tables in pool halls to the bar tables. Aside from the usual 8-ball, I like 9-ball, and straight pool a little less so, but it's still a nice change sometimes.
I actually read a book on it once, which had a few good tips. Never owned my own table tho.

Being from Britain originally I used to play snooker as that's very popular. Here in the US my wife and used to play in a local pool league, which was fun. But staying up until midnight on a Monday and then getting up at 5am to go to work got boring very quickly.
Cool game though. Very satisfying to hold a table in a bar for a few hours

>>hot oriental girl
Wouldn't know anything about them
Loads of eye candy in my neck of the woods when I go into the city.
I forgot there used to be a pool hall up the street where I lived when I was early 20s back in the midwest.
Used to frequent that joint a lot too.I think they had about 30 tables and a couple of snookers.
Maybe I'll buy a table if my kids ever get interested.
I always had a bit of trouble with a regulation sized table and preferred a bar sized table; probably because I grew up on those.
Snooker. I'd like to try that sometime.
