Well I read about this one on Monte Allums Site http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mods.html (http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mods.html) a while ago, picked up a $10.00 donor DS-1 today and ordered the kit tonight. Anyone out there done this mod yet? I am anxious to see what this does to the DS-1.
I had a stock MT-2 I hated and was ready to chuck it into the pond behind the house or give it away but found his site and did his MT-2 Sustainia Tri-Gain Mod 1st. Now i use the pedal often as it did wonders for that pedal. Not quite sure what all 3 settings do but they are all drastically different. I mostly use this pedal on the setting I call the dark or death metal mode incredible chunk palm muting. Put the switch the opposite way and it has a good tone also with all kinds of combination with the 4 eq knobs, not to crazy about the middle setting it gets really touchy with any movement of any knob and does not like the dist. level above 1/2.

Well i finally got around to modding the DS-1 and it sounds great. Kinda the same thing it did for the MT-2 except a much different sound more classic sound i would say. With the toggle switch you get 3 modes. I'm happy with it I guess this make distortion pedal #10. Some people put trophies on the shel I put pedals Im as junkie.
He who dies with the most pedals wins.
