Notice!! I'll be stepping on a Rat
« on: October 17, 2015, 10:04:57 am »
I've been wanting to try a Rat out for years but never would spring for one. I just did some amp work for a guy that deals in Pedals full time occupation and ended up trading my amp work for a 1995 USA Rat with the popular LM308 chip.
I was amazed that the pedal was so heavy, man! Like a tank. What little I've tried it out, I really like what I'm hearing. Looking forward to stepping on my Rat This weekend. Platefire

Hi Platefire, remember me... You helped me out with my Pignose G40v quite awhile back (thanks).

Anyways, I have the same pedal the the Flat-Top (as opposed to the new slant-top) USA made LM308 Rat with the LED... Awesome pedal; one of my favorites... Definately a keeper... I think you'll be happy with it.

Take care,
PeaceMaker

I urge you to explore & sample various opamps. It's like sampling different 12ax7s in your amp.
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research.

Sorry I haven't seen these post. I'm liking my Rat but don't get to use it much. Seem the music with the Praise band at Church has moved to the lighter side. When I do need some cranking distortion, I definitely step on that Rat. I may need to move it to my pedalboard at home so it can get some action.

I have problems wanting to work on pedals because everything is so micro. I have tried it a little but for feel a little out of my league with them. Platefire
