St. George/ Massie Electronics model 662 amp
« on: January 24, 2013, 10:32:32 am »
 Hello all!
I just bought a mystery amp. The owner said it might be a Kay amp. It uses a 12AX7 and a 6BM8. It has no tube rectifier. There is a power transformer and OT. It comes in a nearly-closed back cabinet (ported) with a Jensen 8" speaker (maybe a 6). This amp has tremolo. From the pictures and descriptions, it seems to be a Massie Electronics model 662 amp. I am aware of the controversy about who Massie was or wasn't. I am not really interested in more of that. I am looking for anyone who owns a Massie/St. George 662 or has worked on one to lend their knowledge. As far as I know, there are no official schematics of this amp. But maybe someone has a hand-scrawled schematic or notes from a repair. I will be grateful for your help!!
