yes, yet another scheme to fill the 12 x 6.5 x 2.5 chassis of doug's that's in the works.

this one is much simpler: it has an EF86 front-end, 12AX7 driver/SLPI, and 6CM6 output stage. why the 6CM6? i have a pile of them i got on the cheap, cheap, that have been gathering dust for some time now, so it's time to use some of them up. the 6CM6 is a noval based 6V6GT equivalent. 

not necessarily a gigging amp, but more of a home/studio amp, although it could be if you use readily available and currently produced tubes. doug sells the 5V4 and 6V6, 12ax7 and the EF86 and they are all current production tubes. not exactly all banjo center stuff, but 2 out 4 types are.

certainly not too complex of a build, but the PS is bit more complex than most probably like; i like amps with a stiffer PS. you flavor to taste. this is based on dougs heyboer 18W PT & OT. the choke would be sourced from a hammond supplier of your choosing. the choke placement and size are the only real unknowns, in that the fitment cannot be verified until we get a copy of the chassis.

the 6BW6 is a british STC/brimar/CVC 6V6GT equivalent in a noval package.

the past year I was looking on the HamFest for 6bw6 tubes, but I discovered that here the tube is unknown and


not possible to easily find, not a long time ago I discovered the 6P1P datasheet and I asked to an hungarian radio amateur


that I know, so the next mount at the Flea Market in Pordenone, he carry a bounch of it for me
