Hoffman Relay PS Board Question
« on: March 14, 2016, 09:57:53 pm »
Hello All,

I'm building a rackmount preamp and am curious of your thoughts on the switching I'm attempting to use.  It consists of four Hoffman relay boards, three LEDs, and three Optoisolators (LDRs) being powered from the Hoffman Relay PS board.  I've included the schematic.  Is this going to tax the PS board too much?  Should I use another PS board for the LEDs and LDRs?

Thanks!

Will

You should be fine. That PS board is good for 1 amp. I'd probably use a heatsink on the reg. chip.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
