Cap Selection on AB763
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm ordering the parts for a scratch built Deluxe Reverb using the AB763 circuit. I know that the schematic calls for all caps to be at least 400v. All but 3 of the caps listed on The Hoffman AB763 Board Kit Parts Listing exceed that voltage. However the list doesn't indicate which type of cap (i.e. Mica, Orange Drop, or polypro) each value represents.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I should select them?
Thanks in advance

It's a tough call, For tone caps you can use Mallory M150's or Sprague Orange drop type 418p or 715. The 715 orange drops are "faster" and less forgiving, so Consider your playing style when making the choice. To remain true to vintage tone use the m150's or 418's. as far as the treble cap and coupling caps There is a lot of discussion; Some people like dipped silver mica, some people like Ceramic. The Silver mica Sound smooth and beamy, the ceramic sound creamy with a bit of grit (This is all opinion of course, take it with as much salt as your doctor will allow) The choice is yours. For the electrolytics I always recommend Sprague atoms. Have fun Lemme know if I can help. P.S. 600v rated caps are fine
