Heather or SLO amp
« on: December 21, 2017, 09:30:03 am »
Has anyone in here built a SLO or Heather style amp?  I'm just curious as I have a head cabinet I got off of eBay some time ago which has a 26-1/2" overall length and a 20" control panel opening that I want to do something special with.  I've also got a couple of sets of MM 50 Watt trannies to use and I was thinking a 50 watt version of the SLO would be a really good amp for my local market as well.  I think the Heather is a fairly close version of the SLO.  Is that right?  Comments from anyone who has built either one of these amps would be appreciated.

Yes.  That's the Weber version of the SLO I believe.

Here's the SLO100 schematic. Looks pretty similar (at a casual superficial glance).

Ciao Bnwitt

Here attached the layout for a 50W SLO on turret planned and used by a friend of mine to build 3 units

(PS details and Layout on the .pdf file)

Tone Stack components are on pots, instead to be on the board like on some layout you can find on the web
