Lego you can remote a 10K bias pot off-board anywhere you want to put it and can put it. Fender put it on the floor of the chassis and you could adjust it from top or bottom. If there is room on the back panel then that would be cool. I intended to do that but the interior got pretty crowded, and you have to pull the amp to measure the plate voltage anyway, and the pot I was going to use is quite a bit smaller than your Claro's. The cathode voltage test points are connected to pins 1 or 8 of the power tube sockets which also connect to the 1 ohm resistors on the turret board.
It's just a convenient place to insert the meter probes but they aren't necessary. I use the little clip-on leads alot to clip to tube sockets for measurements as I'm sure alot of techs do. I also use Dougs bias testers with most amps that do not have 1 ohm resistors installed.

None of my amps have it, probably more about convienence then anything. But your right about having to pull cahssis anyway so I’ll a save myself a few bucks. I got stuck on a 12-8 am shift today after just doing a 4-12 so I did some tube data reading  :sleepy2: Im off tonight so I plan on some chassis wiring and board populating

Lego  I made a mistake and corrected it above,   Dougs bias checker monitors cathode current.  I don't know why but I was thinking it monitored plate current.  I corrected my mistake.

Been busy chipping away at this and other projects. Im moving along with populating the chassis and board. I picked up a never been used/ testested perfectly Matsushi 5AR4 and a bench DDM that my little helper helped livin up. I also came across a nice Peavy transtube amp that a neighbor was tossing out.  I resoldered the input jack, cleaned it up and did a mod to it. Nice little amp for my Son and its made in the US
