This IEC uses small 5x20mm fuses also. The nice thing is there's a slot for an extra fuse.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

since folk are chiming in, have you got enough play time to wanna tweak things or is she good out of the box?  Can you keep it low-vol enough to satisfy your neighbors and still make happy sounds?

I have seen more than once an amp sold after tweaking and mods. Then someone finally pairs the correct speaker. I enjoyed watching. One day I will come by and you can have a beer. I will probably want to eat tho. Got your garden?

My girl is into art.

Some day we will all crash Jimbos house for Hoffmanfest!
She must like them dangerous outlaw gun & guitar slingin' guys that ride motorcycles? :icon_biggrin:

Jimbo's house?! "Crash" is right 'cause he'd never invite us first? I can imagine being about a 1/2 mile away and not needing directions - just listen for the major in the distance.

Invite you?  I don't know you!  And who is SG?  Besides, I will not be here when you two decide to visit (just tell me when before hand).  All the other forum members are welcome to the Ritchie200 Hoffman World Wide Tour and BBQ!  Especially my good buddy and all knowing music critic - TIMBOOOOOOO!

A special tele-fest will be held June 31.  Call BR549 for details.

Start without me, might take awhile to get there.

Nice amp Sluckey , I was wondering how long you could hold out. The addiction is strong. I stayed away for a while. But I just missed the collective sense of humor here

The Phoenix was not an amp build. It was a resurrection of a previous amp build. Just ask my wife!   :l2:

This was not a Phoenix any more than those running afoul of the Chinese government are voluntary organ donors. Basically you sell a living thing to a sort of Frankenstein who then cuts the guts out and puts them in something else; Add power- Presto it's alive. I'm certain Shooters laboratory contains the remains of numerous dead, and in each case a particular functional component is swapped into a deficit carcass he would say- I am a giver of life. Behold my creation.

Akin to putting a Chevy 289 in a Yougo and calling it: Corvette rising.

OK we must have a written statement by you with wording describing this resurrection of an existing amp that is Notarized by a legal notary and witnessed by your wife or we will have no other choice than to call this an official build. Coming out of amp building is something we all know as rare and must be backed up with documented proof. Note the Legal definition of Resurrection is:The state of those risen from the dead. a rising again, as from decay, disuse, etc.; revival.

Trust me counselor (or not). This bird was dead by the time it came back to me. Now it's alive! Have I ever lied to you?   :think1:

So can a chassis with tube sockets, wiring, pots and with some electrolytic caps that could possibly be holding a charge be considered dead?  :dontknow: This may need to go to the Supreme Amp Court for a ruling--oh Doug

The rising was well under way before I took any pics. The only thing on the chassis was 6 tube sockets with filament string. The power switch "may" have been on the chassis. Can't remember.
