 Deluxe chassis question
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I found what was listed as a Deluxe chassis at a good price on E-Bay; I'm gearing up now for the build. One of the first things I've run into is that the holes for the 5Y3 qnd 6V6's are 1 & 3/16th wide- Doug's page has Marshall-style sockets that mount using a snap ring instead of the two screws I'm used to. Anyone used these, and have opinions yea or nay? Thanks-

Alls I can say is wave washers are a little tricky at first, I use a big jewelers screwdriver, it seems to work well.

There is no law that says you can't shop around to see if there are other sockets that will fit those holes if you aren't comfortable with the snap ring sockets.
I haven't used them, so I don't have anything good or bad to say about them.

The marshall style sockets are easy to install.Ceramic is hard to beat as a material for tube sockets.

Mount in the hole.
Turn to the desired direction.
push the snap ring into the groove with flat blade screwdriver.
