power reduction
« on: December 03, 2019, 10:43:35 am »
Hello. What resistor network would I need between the output transformer and the output jack to reduce 5 watts to 1 watt(in a Champ)?  Similar to this(in a Deluxe)

You want to reduce power to 20%. Rob's circuit reduces power to 25%. Close enough. Just use Rob's circuit exactly as shown. Use your volume control to get the additional 5% reduction if you have to be precise.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
