Pop turning SB, off

This is pretty much a normal thing with amps with a standby switch, turning off the SB, (using as a mute switch) usually with cause a pop. SB switches aren't meant to be a mute switch, anyway. The more l read about SB switches, they aren't needed. Abruptly turning off the high voltage an amp will pop, a normal thing l understand but would a say 600v .047 cap between the rectifier and the standby stop the pop?

A 100K/3W resistor across the standby switch contacts works pretty good.

I always put .0047mfd or 0.01 mfd across SB switch contacts. it work.

Just rewire it as a real mute circuit (ground the signal somewhere late in the circuit, like just before the PI).
