Tube Bazz Fuss

Could you build a Bazz Fuss circuit with a single 6av6 tube? Looking at the data sheet it has two diodes and a triode inside it.Would it behave like its transistor counterpart? Not sure how transistor gain (hfe) and tube gain compares. But a transistor with hfe 300 is usually needed for this diy classic.


Here is what a bazz fuss looks like. Very simple fuzz pedal.


* I wanted to add that the power supply would be different with the tube. Id run at high voltage with a small power transformer.
