I've been lurking on this forum for a while, what a great place to learn about tube amps! I am a retired mechanical engineer and for my second career I've been doing the repair work for a small local music store. Mostly I've been repairing guitars and amps, but I've assembled a few parts-casters and built a few tube amps from scratch. I have no real formal education in electronics, just from reading books and searching the internet. I've been playing guitar since I was a teenager, played in a couple of bands in high school and college but never got really good. Thanks in advance for your help and I hope that I can contribute to the cause.
