Are there any Carvin Micro bass combo owners, out there?

I was at a jam last night and the house player had a Carvin Micro Bass Combo. There's a 2-way mute switch which connects to a status light. Red for mute and blue playing. The amp recently has been cutting out to the equivalent of one note, then comes back . We noticed that the light while, while in the blue play mode but not cutting yet, flashes red in part of the light. It's not all the time but we noticed it.Has anyone seen this? If so, would you know a reason?I'm thinking the amp is up to it's limit, but it could be the switch/circuit
